An edge's type is derived, never declared
The rule
Normative: this is the rule

- An edge does not declare its own type, and a declared type on an edge is not authoritative.
Rule identifiers are permanent and are never renumbered. Each implementation publishes its own standing against these rules; this specification does not.spec 1.0-draft · CMP-4 · changed in spec 1.0
