Expression-language validation is a syntax check only
The rule
Normative: this is the rule
- Validating an expression-language expression checks its syntax, with every identifier the expression mentions treated as declared.
- A reference to a name that will not exist when the workflow runs therefore validates successfully and fails at run time.
Rule identifiers are permanent and are never renumbered. Each implementation publishes its own standing against these rules; this specification does not.spec 1.0-draft · LANG-10 · changed in spec 1.0
